kanaal (d*)
Kanaalnummer waarop het te maken bestand geopend moet worden als het is gemaakt.
bestand (a*)
De volledige bestandsspecificatie van het te maken bestand.
type (a1)
Het soort bestand dat gemaakt moet worden:
  • P - Printbestand
  • R - 'Relative'-bestand
  • S - Sequentieel bestand
Het is niet mogelijk met deze routine een ISAM te creëren. Zie xfile of filec.
recordlengte (d*)
De recordlengte van het te maken bestand.
Deze parameter is verplicht bij type = 'R'. Bij de andere typen is de recordlengte niet van toepassing.

Common velden gevuld bij terugkeer
mherc
Foutcode van de eventueel opgetreden of gegenereerde fout:
00 = Alles is goed gegaan.
10 = Kanaal of kanaal_b is NUL.
?? = Opgetreden DBL fout.
mhlin
Het regelnummer waar de DBL-fout optrad.
